Post Fryrender 1.0 Released

fryrender is the unbiased spectral renderer developed by Feversoft. All the elements involved in the render (materials, lights, cameras, ...) are based on physically accurate models up to the point that when you hit render a simulation of the real behavior of light happens inside.

A question that has to be asked.

Why would you swap from Vray to this............

I have not used it, so i would like the hear the arguments for and against.

hi,
i would say there's no point to ask this, this way ; they are completely different engines ; you'd better compare fry to a vray render with the highest quality parameters chosen, with all options on (dof, glossies, refractive/reflective caustics, etc)

plus, fryrender offers a very few numbers of parameters to tweak, allows a very quick setup, brings you the powerful lighting layerblending feature, and soon will be teamed to the realtime engine rc4

put in other words, http://www.fryrender.com/#product/overview

Fry is not unlike Maxwell - it's very unlike Vray. You wouldn't see a speed improvement, but if you do it right you'd be amazed at the photorealism.

Red face Re: Fryrender 1.0 Released

the new Vray I saw will be like Fryrender. so will flamingo/accurender nXt.

So it is good to get learned on the leader in non biased rendering's tools as it appears render engine developers are making a shift that direction.
