Default MAC vs PC

Hello all.
There's one question thats been on my mind for a while. It is said that the graphics of a mac is far better than that of a PC. I figured mayb bcos the mac is running OSX environment.

Now a mac and a PC both with core2duo 2.6GHz, 4Gb ram, 512mb ATI card and BOTH running XP or vista,

WHICH ONE WOULD HAVE THE ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE for 3D Applications like MAX, AE cs3 etc?

Sounds like a question for the software vendors? Try emailing autodesk and adobe and asking what hardware runs their software the best!

I thought this topic died about 10 yrs ago.

The best graphics environment is the one you are most productive in. Try them all and decide for yourself.

To run the Autodesk software on the Mac, you'd install Bootcamp and some version of Windows. This would make the Mac functionally almost the same as a Windows box with the same specs, and the performance would be as close as the current polling in North Carolina.
