Nice image, David. Perhaps a little blurry but that could be a JPEG/ reduction artifact, or your own artistic choice. Either way, it still looks good and your groundsman is doing a great job

Grass is a jpeg placed in the texture & grout panels of the 'Tiles' procedural texture. The jpeg in the grout panel has its output slightly lowered and the tiles preset set to Stack Bond (this is for the striped grass). Also have a fractal bumpmap set to size 12 at a value of 50. One very important tip (especially for stills) is to reduce the Blur value (in the Coordinates panel of the material slot) to 0.1 and reduce the blur value on the bumpmap to 0.3 or 0.5. This stops the grass from being soft and smooth in the render. I use this method on most materials that must remain grainy and rough such as brick or road surfaces.
