Default Night Skyrise - work "for the soul"

It's my own work. I've done it for enjou, not in commercial purposes.
1 day - modeling and scene setup, 1 day - render and post-processing. Whole time - 2 days.

elbereth

two things that stand out to me

reflections in lower windows look a bit odd, some look like they are reflecting a different sky to the one being used.

and i believe i can see reflections that show cars moving at speed? (light streaks)

if this is the case then these reflections wouldn't be visiable from the angle that the camera is looking at the scene. all you would see in reflections is the sky

The lattice on the skyscraper is too thick.

The stars on the sky arent realistic, which takes away from the image IMO.

As it is night time I would suspect some of the rooms to be lit from the inside.

elbereth,

I think the image is achieving a certain look very well. If you were going for an exaggerated romantic look (ie.Volkswagen commercials with the silvery moon) this is working quite well. This type of style can be useful in marketing of certain project. Remember our job is not simply making a photorealistic representation of the project, but rather depicting an idealized vision of it in order to win the heart of the client.

Our job is to do what the client wants, weather its a straight photoreal image, or a stylised one

I think my job is to make the client happy with my work (on the first review if possible ). If the client is clueless, doing what he thinks he wants can lead him to look elsewhere.

If the client is clueless he will hire a baker to make his renderings.

Hi everybody!
Thanks for your comments

I think I didn't tell you about main idea of this work in first post))) If I'd like to make commercial work, it would be photorealistic. But I wanted to make something about cartoon style, near the romantic book illustration
That is why I've choosen such cartoon sky with cartoon stars ))
