Default For Sale

This piece is of a newly built apartment that's for sale. I decided to try and recreate the scene just to try and improve my skills. C&C welcome.

It is supposed to be empty, so i know it looks blank and boring. Apologies!

This is my first post on here and second image using Vray so welcome to all!

You've got some problems there. A stair tread is about 6" and you have 10 treads, that means your floor to floor is 5'. Unless this is an apartment for kneelers or little people it won't sell.

Thanks for the replys. Ive gone off an image i found on the website for the apartment and used the same amount of stairs they have, maybe mine are just too close together? As for the price of it, its about £160,000 to buy, because of its location.

It's important to use real world scale. If you look at the hallway under the stairs in relation to the rest of the room there is no way a person could walk under there. It has nothing to do with how close the stairs are to each other, the entire room is not to scale.

The hallway is over a metre wide, its the angle and the curvature of the wall that makes it look smaller than it is. Its hard to create it to scale when i dont have architectural plans to work from.

Are you an Architect? You're trying to defend something that is not defendable.

By the way it's the height, not the width. Your stair rail is out of scale etc. etc. It's not right period.

You have a decent lighting setup though.

Are you using Max?

Paul,

You're at cgarchitect! If you're going to try and make a go of Archviz you'll need to build things to scale or you'll get busted.

Keep up the good work.
