hi guys, im doing renderings for my projects for the last 3 years, still not very experienced, and i dont know what the difference between radiosity and global illumination. is it the same maybe? from renderings i have seen, its about indirect illumination....
can someone explain please......thanks. |

they're not the same, but usually a consiquence of the same process, in certain renderers.
basically, GI is the distribution of bounced environmental and indirect light, whereas radiosity is the bounced 'heat' source from a materials surface or colour which effects it's immediate surroundings with a 'colour bleed'. as i say, most renderers render both together, but a few you can render either or. |
