Default Help please - Sun's Eye View diagrams?

Hi,
I am in the process of modelling and creating a shadow study for a 114 unit hotel. I have also been asked to generate Sun's Eye View diagrams. Is there a way to set up a camera at exact co-ordinates for a particular time of day to replicate a view as if looking at the site from the sun's direction? Am a bit of a newbie, so hope this makes sense.
Thanks.
Regards Kris

That is probably the most silly request I've ever heard of. A sun's view? Who cares what the sun would see? You should just tell them you'll get them a good view of the building & site, whether or not the sun is ever in that exact spot.

The Sunlight in VIZ can be used as a view the same way any spotlight is.

Just press $ in any view and it'll turn into the light's view.

Very cool... I did not know about the ‘$’ key. I do have to say that I’m confused why you would want to know what the sun ‘sees’ but I could understand if the sun had to line up exactly at a certain spot on a certain day. Viewing with the ‘$’ key would be a nice double check.

Thanks for the shortcut Alex.
Don't know why they want the suns eye view - but hey who am i to argue with a "paying" client - as long as they are happy

...been asked to generate Sun's Eye View diagrams

<diagrams?
<maybe, just maybe they are asking only for a bird's eye view.
<you will not have any shadow(shade only if you use sky light) in the "sun view" .
