does radiosity can be applied to exteriors?...........or is only for interiors.
`cause im working on an outside scene, and just to process the radiosity of the streets and sidewalks alone takes an eternity. settings: 85% quality 5 refine intinerations 5 filtering radiosity meshing size 0.50 meters thanks for your help! |

sure, radiosity works for exteriors. i'm assuming you are using Max right?
if you dont want to work with processing radiosity and all the settings, try out the global illumination. all you have to do is put a skylight in your scene and enable light tracer instead of radiosity. the skylight adds those nice soft shadows. adding a spotlight to simulate the sun will give you the combination of direct and indirect lighting, giving the rendering a lot more life.... chuck |
