Default 3ds batch render

Hi

I'm looking for a way to render previews (320x240) of a whole bunch of 3ds files. Other than importing and rendering each manually in max, is there a way to do this automatically?

I need to see what all these 3ds files look like to be able to sort them since the sorting process got left behind a few years back.
