Books
Im struggling a bit so thinking of buying one of the mental ray books. I think there's only 2 specifically for mental ray, both by the same author. Either
Rendering With Mental Ray (Mental Ray Handbooks Volume 1) by Thomas Driemeyer or Programming Mental Ray Volume 2 by Thomas Driemeyer Doe anyone know if one is more advanced than the other? Is it worth getting one at all? Work is paying so the money doesnt matter. Thanks again, Cheers, Tom. |

Of the two, Rendering with Mental Ray covers quite a bit. The programming book is just that - lots o' code. Kinda depends on where your skills are and where you want to go. If you want to be a TD, go with the programming book.
