I have been asked to do a rendering of a marina. Which is cool and a change of pace. But there is a little problem. NO BOATS in my little library. Does anyone know where I can get free meshs or even plans so I can attempt to build my own. suurland.com has a couple plans, but mostly military. I am looking for recreational boats.
I am not sure about 3Dcafe yet. I have been trying to get on the site all day long. |

This site has a nice boat library (Recreational Vehicles Set 1). They are not free, but are reasonably priced. Definately check it out.

It looks like he may have added to the collections since I bought. Good products, good price, responsible seller. |

So you would say they are good enough to import into VIZ and not really have to play with the textures. I mean I will be doing a birds eye view of the site. So detail will not be that great.

Anything you could want, but for a marine, you'll probably kill your fees |

He's got many on the Turbo Squid site, but the prices for a single boat are well above what the posted set is above.
I have no doubt, though, that the models are near perfect, althouhg maybe a little too perfect. I have a S600 Mercedes that he had for free a while back and it's great, but the polygon count is too high for me to use! |

I bought the deespona library a couple of years ago. It's an unbelievable deal! At the time it was $400 for countless fully textured models, and all of them at 3 or 4 levels of detail. The high res versions of vehicles would be suitible for the most demanding levels of detail.
