Anyone know of any tutorial/guides for Mental Ray? Seems rather complicated at first look. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I wonder what's so hard about MR in max7 anyway... it's been VERY WELL optimized as far as I know from testing it... Be sure to make the tutorials that came with the max guide ,-)

Most of the settings in MR are the same for all 3d host applications. But to prevent you getting too much information, you should narrow it down to 3dsmax or maya or whatever you use....

Rotten Tutorials For MAX

They're hardly any use, as far as my little mind goes about Mental Ray for max. As for the manual, it doesnt explain well what the friggin parameters are for.

Well, that's autodesk documentation for you.

As for tutorials for MR for max, There's a an MR shader and lighting tips on going at the cgtalk forums.
