Hi Chen, be sure to carefully read the rules. It clearly states that only personal works can be submitted for the challenges and for the qualification images the work must have been done primariliy by the person submitting the image.

hi Cheng

there is no doubt you are into the final 30 based on your skill level. I have really enjoyed looking at your work as well. very talented. Just wondering did you study architecture before and decided to go towards 3d visualisation?

Will you please be more specific on "work must have been done primariliy by the person" is that 51% or 98% or ? If I am doing all the Cameras, lighting Scene Set up and someone else does the modeling, is that acceptable?

This is a rendering competition, so if you only did the modelling or only did a small part of the scene then the image does not qualify. Use this as the criteria: If you were to take this image to an interview and they asked you if you did this image yourself, would you feel comfortable telling them that you did the majority of it. Does the image have your "style" or "trademark". If the answer is no then you did not do enough of the image and it does not qualify.

Talking Team work accepted?

Hello,

I am a Student at NYU-CADA dept. and a co-student and I want to submit 3 images that we worked on together. We both worked on the modeling, texturing, and lighting + rendering. I can honestly say that we divided the work 50%/50%.

Is this acceptable in qualifying for the challeges? Also, if we got picked, would we have to work on the challeges solely? or together?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Keith Kemery

If it was split 50/50 then I will allow it, however if you are selected as one of the final 30 the challenges must be done by you only.
