I am curious what factors will go into the judging... Will the architecture itself be part of the equasion or just how well it was visualized? This has to be a very hard thing to judge because some people have spectacular architecture, some people have spectacular modeling and texturing, some people have fantastic lighting and rendering.. So how does a very minimal scene weigh against a scene that is very complex etc.. How do stylized renders compare to photoreal etc? Give us a glimpse into the minds of the judges and the competition.

Each challenge will have slightly different judging criteria, but have many of the same criteria. The qualification round is being judged as follows:
Modeling (10) Texturing (15) Lighting (15) Composition (15) Technical Difficulty (10) Creativity (15) Unity (20) Each category will be evaluated on a scale of 1-10 and then mutiplied by the weighting factor in the brackets above for a total possible score of 1000.

Thanks.. I don't envy the judges possition.. if the artists think they have thier work cut out for them.. Imagine the judges having to scrutinize ALL the art and not just one scene! Whew.. Hang in there though guys.. you are making history! BTW a big thanks comes from the live chat crew
