This is a really sweet interior. The complex light shapes are rich and the slight grain keeps the place from turning plastic. I find the slightly more bright and white light in the very forground robs the warmer distance of some of its inviting quality.
I would, therefore, prefer a closer view where the dark underceiling goes right to the right edge, and the white whateveritis in the center becomes more fore, opening up the middle space beyond. i really, really, wish the counter was not so wide on the left because the picture needs its vertical elements, and the walls on the left would do it. The floor is the weakest thing in the image. The shine is nocely done, but the surface is completely artificial. Boards have variation, you should show at least a hint of it. |

The color of the light and reflections really make the space warm and inviting. The subtle noise helps keep the painted surfaces from feeling too perfect, however, the noise in the reflective floor is a little too contrived. Maybe some differences in specularity on the shiny surfaces would help. Good use of bevels.

This image has a nice overall feeling but there is few things which destroys the perfect image.
The problem for me is the counter on the left. Counter top has nice material but it doesn't work with the background - I though that it is not a counter but floor for a long time. Otherwise I like warm feeling of the picture a lot. Jan |

It seems to be all about the hardwood floor. The furniture seems to distract from the study of getting the hardwood floor to feel right. Like a few entries, I can't help but visually critiquing the archictecture. I have a hard time separating from the quality of the visual.
