Hy guys, I´m a new Vray user and I´m still trying it, so I´m having some difficults.
Does anybody knows why this rendering was so hard? I used an Athlon xp 2.13GHZ 1GB RAM and the rendering process was so slow. Image size 3189 X 2362 |

Hi Bruno,
Here is another friendly answer for you. What are the settings for your Vray lights? Are they set as portals? That can increase render time. Also, glossy reflection and refraction can slow things down - is there any of that in there? Also, isn't 10 an extremely high setting for dir comp. subdivs? I've never gone above 3 and even with the preset quality of Very High the dir comp values are only 1:3. Care to show us the final render?

You also seem to be using a LOT of area Vray lights... If you are, even just using area Vray Shadows, try setting all the shadow settings to "Store With Irradiance Map" This will really speed up things, but only if you are doing an Irradiance map, which you are.

21:41:01? that is scary, well as they say, Rome was not built in a day, so don't worry, it all has to do with dimension size also, 3189 X 2362 is pretty big, so its a given to expect a long render timeframe...
