Project Soane Rendering Competition - Launched!

Nearly a century ago Sir John Soane’s treasured Bank of England was destroyed – described by some as the greatest architectural crime of the 20th century. It was his life’s work. Soane’s spectacular use of natural light and mesmerizing effects of scale not only revolutionized the architecture world but his work also culminated in him being knighted by King William IV.

We invite you to join the mission to recreate this lost masterpiece and reinvent the way the world can experience history. Participants in this historic rendering competition will have the chance to win almost $30,000 of great prizes, including a fully-loaded HP Z840 Workstation with NVIDIA Quadro M6000 professional graphics.

Now these models are available to you, to transform into detailed still, animated, and real-time renderings, and enable the world to better understand and experience the works of Sir John Soane.

I would like to know if someone from WINNERS of Project Soane has already received any prizes for their work?
Looks like Aimee just sent you a message. All of the other winners have received their prizes, but your location in the Ukraine is especially tricky. They are all working on this as quickly as they can.
thank you for your aswer! I hope it will get to me soon!

Hello to the all participant and winners! My name is Andrii Rodych I won 2 categories - People’s Choice and GPU (Post allowed) I would like to know if someone from WINNERS of Project Soane has already received any prizes for their work? The last couple month I just had few emails from Aimee Doyne from Hewlett-Packard that sending is in process but they have some issue, about details I dont know, that issue it was. But I agreed with HP that they can use my images in Image Use Permission and now just silent. Still dont get any information if I will receive prize or no. I hope here someone can explaine me Best regards Andrii Rodych 3dvisdesign Ukraine
I've sent a message to my HP contacts again. I am 100% confident everyone will get their prizes and I wish I could do more, but I don't know what the delay is on their end. Hopefully we'll hear back from them shortly. I know they are all travelling at the moment.

After what I've seen in forum, from great work, I discovered that it's a long shot competition... and that's what inspires me, Challenging Spirit... My great reward is to get precious knowledge...
I think for Real-time entries there should be a minimum hardware and fps requirement. what good is a real-time if its not real time :).
At this time, there is no FPS limit, but certainly the faster it is, the better it's going to play and look.

If no Cinema 4D allowed then bug off
Okay, thanks. Another question about the exterior facades, are those the two walls on either side of the Tivoli Corner as shown on the image of the boy with the blue top?
That is correct.
Tops. Thanks for the quick response.

Hi, is there a way to just download the fbx version of the models?

Can it be just a raw render in revit and then post process in Photoshop?
Yes as you are using Autodesk software. Photoshop is allowed. I hope to have the new FAQ out today. It's taking forever to get approved.
