Bionatics Releases New Line of Oak Trees

Press Release

Bionatics releases new line of oak trees

Bionatics has increased its online plant nursery to ease growing demand for common deciduous trees popular throughout Europe and North America. The new oaks and the demand for the trees in architecture, urbanism, landscaping, game development and real-time visualization projects will benefit users that require realistic trees at the click of the mouse.

Bringing plant diversity to the CG world, Bionatics has increased its plant library with oak trees ready for use in its plant modeling and simulation software packages. Collaborating closely with its clients, Bionatics is dedicated to supplying needed vegetation for architecture, urbanism, landscaping, game development and real-time visualization projects. As such, users may now generate Oak (common), Oak (holly), Oak (holly prune shaped) and the Oak (swamp) either in full 3D or especially modelled for real-time purposes. Available for immediate use for EASYnat and natFX users, the oaks are on display and purchase from Bionatics’ online plant nursery.

Each tree has an expression of the genetic coding of its real-life counterpart embedded into a parametric file. Using a stochastic calculation, the virtual seed is able to produce an infinite number of procedurally different variations of the plant. Using virtual seeds, a new concept in plant modeling, users are literally able to sprout their scenes with life with models that are botanically correct.

Age, set seasons, control levels of detail and more have made Bionatics the choice software for plant modeling. Coupled with a vast, diverse and an ever-expanding plant nursery, the user is able to purchase and download any available virtual seed directly from Bionatics’ site and generate the desired model with a few clicks of the mouse.

Saving on production time and streamlining workflow, plants and trees are now accessible and a viable means of populating games as well as any outdoor scenery. For more information on Bionatics products and plants, please visit www.bionatics.com.
