Nice image Peter, but the too much green colour doesn't give the feeling should have.
the grass: - i made one big lowpoly ground plane, pulled some vertices to create some reliëf (until it looked ok in the viewport) - i detached the part of ground that was visible in the viewport (to save on memory,it has no use detailing something you can't see :)) -i applied a displacement map, smoke to the ground-piece (to give it some more reliëf,bulbs) -i applied a turbosmooth-modifier ,to give the reliëf some smoothness -i applied a vray dsiplacementmap, 2D , just a simple black-white grass texture, the vraydisplacementmap took care of the basic grass...but it still looked to even,to perfect -i drew a few grass-weeds (just simple planes with a bend-modifier) and painted them onto the ground-object (i did it in 3dsmax, u can also use vrayscatter, scatter, advanced painter...), the great thing is you can adjust your scene in realtime and paint the weeds where u like them to be the uneven dispersion of longer weeds gave the image a more realistic view -to finish it off i placed some other little plants and some flowers advice: use as much vrayproxies if you can, it will save you on memory for good tutorials on grass and nature: check out the works of peter guthrie, red vertex, bertrand benoit,... p
very nice job. how did u make the front ground?please share the process of creating the huge grass surface. Thanks in advance.
thx rahat, i'm working on a night render and maybe at a different viewpoint,+ interior renders too , i just have to find some time :) this render took me 22 rendering-hours (on a intel2core q8200 with 8 gig ram)...i think it was the 15 gazillion polygons that slowed things down...but i have to thank vray for making this possible (vrayproxies and vray displacement to be exact) p
Really nice rendering......some night view render please?.......it will be rocking @ night.......like it is @ day!.....:D
