As for me, back DOF seems odd. Also it's more comfortable to render such images by plans (The tree -front plan and the other image is the back plan) and then compose them together, it would help to get rid of sharp edges on some objects caused by composed DOF, and the same thing with the other objects which you can split by plans.

I agree with Piroman, some bushes and stones would make the forest around it look better. Nice image though.

I think it's mainly the foreground tree that doesn't feel right to me. I don't mind the miniaturization effect at all. The tilt shift aesthestic is pretty popular in photography right now.
Thanks guys. Piro, woudl you say it is the front dof that looks odd or the back, as I was thinking of removing the front dof altogether. I'll have a think on what and where I could put some more detail into the scene, maybe loads of dead leaves on the grass and water would help. Thanks
Looks really good man, I agree with Piro, maybe a bit more detail. Other than that; looks awesome.
Very nice image, Elliott. But as for me this DOF causes feeling of a little bit toy style of the building. In general the image looks very good but I think some more details like stones, bushes and sticks would not be excessive for the environment.
Love it. Really great work.
