10x for the specific critics @Peter Drew! I agree that the stone looks a bit flat, actually its not a simple bitmat, it has displace modifer and some glosy refl.,so I guess that the map itself is not good enough . I intended to atchieve a well lit, clear night- the time just before sunrise, so i left most of things bright enough to be seen, even by sacrifacing the overall contrast. Soon i'll post some daytime views , if there is an interest. @Noam Covo 10x ! Everything (exept the moon and the people)is a Geometry, trees, shrubs and grasses scattered via Forest Pro .
Very good, I like the ambient. I am curious to know if the far shore is a photograph or geometry?
Hi Stanimir, it's a good start. A few critiques. The stone needs work, it feels very flat and lacks any variation across the entire surface. I'm assuming this is a bitmap, not actual geometry, it remains the same colour throughout, there is no variation in specularity, it just reads really flat, and being such a big proportion of the image you need it to look right. In fact a lot of the materials feel flat, the concrete, the metal, I feel you could pump up all the contrast, a bit of S-Curve in photoshop should do the trick. Lastly I think more spill light from the inside out onto the surround foilage would be cool, I see it a little bit, but I fell you could darken the whole scene, and pump up the light from the house, theis would give the image a clear focus.
