Looking great, I like sky and trees beyond the house.
another view: (prob need to make the brick tex larger..)
Bartek: Great idea. A foggy environment would be very appropriate for a autmn Louisiana morning. I have to do some optimizing in the scene, but do intend to get a foggy image rendered. Thanks for the suggestion. P.S. anyone know if the mr fog in the effects dialogue is the best way to get this effect?
Glad you like the idea, can't wait to se the result. I'm also interested in fog lately, so if you could share your settings it would be great :)

lol.. I went a bit off the deep end with the siding. I started by looking up the dimensions for typical galvanized siding, copied the profile with splines, then extruded the profile to make a 4 by 8 panel. Next, I threw a shell mod. at it to give it a thickness of 0.07". I, then, used a modified galvanized texture from cgtextures.com (fit to a 4 X 8 size ratio). In the closeup, I subdivided each 4 x 8 sheet and tweaked them (bowed them in the center) to give them a wavy appearance.
Well it was worth going off the deep end as the end result is awesome. I'm off to cgtextures to grab that one, I have been looking for a good galvanized texture. Thanks! :)
Very nice Antoine ! I like the second image with colour correction. I would like to see the scene with a little more diffuse glow from the lights and also with a dense fog covering the ground and light passing through it. Thumbs up ! :)

Is that metal siding a bitmap or procedural? Either way it is really good, but if it is a procedural material I'd love to see how it was done.
Thanks for pointing that out. Here's one with different tone mapping... and a detail.
a tad to blue, but very nice done. I like how the tree reacts to the light.
I like it Antoine, I think it is a little too blue though. The concrete pads under the house seem off, almost like they are phosphorescent or not getting the right shadow. Nice work :)
