We are seeking a full-time position for an Unreal Engine Senior Artist within our growing international talented team.  We have offices in Toronto and Bogotá, but our team is open to work with artists remotely in the event we find the right candidate in an area away from our office base.

Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of professional experience in the architectural visualization industry.
  • Create and/or take assets from 3ds max + Corona/VRay  assets into Unreal Engine.
  • Strong foundation in Unreal Engine to create compelling visuals with the use of:

-PBR Materials, Shaders, Textures and the comprehension of Texel Density.
-Optimized Tileable Textures creation and/or modification.
-Optimized Instanced Materials creation.
-Physically Based Lighting knowledge.
-Real time Lighting, Reflections, Refractions and Ambient Occlusion using: GPUlightmass + Screen Space, Raytracing, -PathTracing and/or Lumen techniques.
-Baked lighting techniques using: CPU & GPU.
-Lightmaps and UV channel optimizations for baked lighting processes.
-Sequencer and/or Movie Render Queue to be able to export high end visuals.
-Cinematic Post Process Volumes, using: ACES Color Correcting, Filmic Tonemapper, Color Grading, VFX (Bloom and Glare) techniques.
-Datasmith Exporting - Importing workflow.
-Optimization methods: LOD, HLODs and Cull Distance Volumes.
-Medium-High Level Scripting using Blueprints Actors, Widgets-HUD, Level Blueprints, Game Modes, Pawns-Characters, Player Controllers, Game Instance and SaveGame.

  • Photography-Videography knowledge (Camera Settings, Composition and Camera motion).
  • Knowledge of Composition & Video Softwares (preferably Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Premiere and/or MediaEncoder).


Additional beneficial skills that will be considered a plus:
  • Experience in modelling and texturing hyper-realistic 3d models using 3Ds Max.
  • Experience with Rigging, Skinning and/or Animation using 3Ds Max and/or Blender.
  • Skinning, Rigging and Bone Retargeting for Humanoids or Digital Humans in Unreal.
  • Knowledge of Particle Systems in Unreal Engine (Cascade Particles and/or Niagara).
  • Understanding of Vertex Painting, Foliage Painting and Landscape Editing Tools using Unreal.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Production Real Time Compositing using Composure in Unreal.
  • Understanding Virtual Production Recordings using Take Recorder in Unreal.
  • Knowledge Data Prep system to create reusable import protocols using Unreal.
  • Knowledge of Foliage/Tree Creation Softwares (preferably SpeedTree).
  • Knowledge of Allegorithmic Suite (Designer, Painter and/or Alchemist).
  • Knowledge of Quixel Suite (Megascans, Bridge and/or Mixer).
  • Knowledge of any Photoscanning Softwares (eg: Agisoft Metashape or Capturing Reality).
  • Knowledge of 3D Modelling-Sculpting softwares like Blender and/or ZBrush.
    • Knowledge of VR/AR using Unreal Engine.

  • Ability to design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable meshes/materials/landscapes/blueprints.
  • Supporting content creation pipelines.  
  • Helping maintain asset quality and organization.
