Project Location
Designed by Nigerian Architect Akinwale Arokodare, the M&G commercial building complex is situated on Adetokunbo Ademola crescent, FCT Abuja, Nigeria. She sits gracefully withing a vibrant commercial landscape branded by 247 bustling city lifestyles. Her surroundings are characterized with lively commercial activity spaces such as lounges, restaurants, malls, photo studios, plazas, and banks. The experience along Adetokunbo Ademola crescent is unique, intimate, and optimistic, and the M&G was designed to contribute to that happy emotional landscape.

M&G Building Details
Sitting on a Land area of 1,490sqm, and a Gross Floor Area (GFA) of about 2000sqm, the M&G building comprises of 6 floors inclusive of a basement parking. The building is fitted with an elevator that accesses all floors including the pent floor. The floor-to-ceiling glazing of each floor provides an internal ambiance that’s fused with natural lighting, while providing a relatable storefront display façade.

Voronoi Façade
Akinwale designed the M&G building façade with Voronoi parametric patterns along the building’s external glazing elements. The major significance for this design element is to attract the visual focus of the public from the street point of view, towards the elevated store front display. Constructed with fabricated aluminum panels, these Voronoi façade elements also provide interesting shadow architecture in the internal spaces.

Roof Gardens and Abuja City Lifestyle
A major design challenge was to create a building that would not only merge perfectly with this distinguished surrounding landscape in terms of the city life, but also celebrate and pronounce these traits. Akinwale was able to tackle this by integrating high level roof gardens at significant vantage façade corners of the building. These architectural building elements not only gives occupants a grand view of Abuja City Center, it also contributes to its cultural pulse and lifestyle.
