Thanks levente. Agreed. I appreciate your critical observations. A
Fantastic image, the lighting is great ! I have only a little problem with the sky (its too pixelated and somewhere there's too much dodge). Next time use a higher res image, or paint the sky yourself with (highres)cloud brushes. And i feel somehow a more rectangular cropping for eg. A/4 [standing] paper format cropping would fit better for this composition. And the ashpalt is too clean :) But these are little details, the image gives a very nice impression. Congrats.
Thanks Christopher! Great comments. Agreed, the square format is definitely not helping. It's a VRay/Rhino image. I'll start playing with the vertical shift setting. That's new to me.
This is a nice image- awesome lighting and materials. Two things that struck me: 1. maybe add a touch more color as it's very close to monochromatic; 2. Perhaps the square format hurts the composition a little. It makes it feel a little squashed or busy. Did you try using more of a letterbox format- somewthing with a wide landscape feel? That might make it more dramatic. Also, did you try different camera settings- if it's a VRay physical camera, did you try different zooms, film gates, etc. to see how it affects the verticals. (You could try that Vertical Shift setting.) Just some initial impressions. Overall, a nice, dramatic image. A different format might make it more dramatic/cinematic.
