New 3D Building Information Modeler and File Converter Released

Easily create and convert 3D building models

The Beck Group’s technology division (Beck Technology) announces the release of two revolutionary new products that make building concepts come to life. The first is the latest edition of DProfiler modeler and the second is the DProfiler converter, which converts standard AEC file formats into Keyhole Markup Language (KML) format.

Designed with the non-CAD user in mind, the DProfiler modeler is a very powerful, yet simple to use building information modeler (BIM). It is easy to navigate and allows any user, regardless of experience, to rapidly and accurately assemble a building model and export it to KML or KMZ. The DProfiler converter converts 3ds or IGES (IGS) files into KML or KMZ. Both tools allow the user to specify the location in longitude and latitude of the model and the color that is applied to the geometric data. This capability is beneficial in visually demonstrating how a model relates to the adjacent surroundings, including the site, roads, and neighboring buildings. It also demonstrates the proportions of the design in context with these surroundings. The benefits are endless! Imagine presenting a corporate relocation scenario with up- to-date imagery including the proposed location and several 3D design scenarios. Communicating the benefits of the new location would be much easier with accurate, pictorial information whose views can be manipulated and viewed at any angle in real-time.
