Also, ditch the umbrella or give it a more upmarket finish, the candy stripe always looks cheap against such a modern house.
yup.that came across my mind. but for that time being i only have that umbrella. lols. thanks for the idea! regards, muck

You can't see the effect ? AO is pretty obvious to me, it will put small shadow details into your scene, particulary into corners. In order to get such detail from regular lightning, you would have to use really high IR subdivs, and high treshold for light (Sun). AO will just fake this nicely, works great at exteriors.
maybe my IR subdivide is low, thats y i cant c the difference. will start on experimenting on AO from now On. Thanks a lot for sharing some stuff mate! appreciate it =]

I meant whether your building is correct size according to reality :- ) So if you're modelling in meters, have system units set to meters or centimeters and you're building is as big as it would be. I know it propably is..but you don;t know how many people model in virtual units, and eyeball proportions. That the building might actually be supper small, or super big compared to reality, and physical lighting would produce incorrect result. Also, are you using Ambient occlussion here ?
really? gosh, i didnt know that these units stuff will effect others, such as lightings. Thanks to u, from now on i will make sure that everything is in similiar units. in this scene, the house is similiar to my max unit which is in milimeter. But i dun really sure about other stuff like the lazy chair and the picnic table coz i just drag n drop into my scene.. for the above image i have not use any AO. used that once, but i just cant see any effect on the finished product-except making it longer to render..T_T mind telling me what is that AO is for?
I would add some depth to the pool tiles, they seem very flat on the top. I would also soften the pools edge. I really like the water, very nicely done!
thanks shawn, will take note on that small correction. =] regards, muck

I don't think it needs bump, it's the lighting. What are your daylight settings ? I would lower the threshold from 0.2 to much lower, up the subdivs atleast to 8, and make the size multiplier higher than 1 for less sharp shadows. Your shadows are way too sharp all the way. Is your scene in correct units ? Also, what is your color mapping here ?
thanks 4ur advice bro. im using standard vray sun with Irmap&Lc. i have change the sun setting accordingly. and the shadow did turn softer. =] looks much nicer now. what do u mean with ~ correct units? for the building i use standard vray color with a little bump and some reflections. regards, muck

lols.i will put some bump later. Thanks man! =]
Nice Pool Material .. Nice texture of the Pool .. but .................................... please Apply some material for Building & re-render & then release it to us . :)
yup, no doubt about that, i havent apply any material to the building structre except color. thanks 4 the comments anyway! =] ~cheers!
Love the pool. Something flat about the building textures...
