This turned out quite good. I noticed you mentioned the quality of the cars, but it does look like they were captured in motion. I like it.
I can't remember figures as I did it a while back ago, but it seems like for something like 2400x1800 resolution I was letting it go over a day to get the noise out. Can't remember for certain, but it definitely wasn't fast enough for a fast turnaround for the client who just wanted one change quickly.
A visualization project where the client ended up wanting to take SketchUp presentations a step farther so I ran it through Maxwell Render. 3D entourage like cars and people were SketchUp content, so quality is a bit off. Project served it's purpose. Downside was Maxwell speed, the client decided to change the Kalwall skylights to glass and mullion, so instead of redoing them and re-rendering I just painted them in during post production in Photoshop.
out of curiosity, how long did it take to render in maxwell and what size? i'm using sketchup+vray but i find the rendering times slower than in max+vray, although i want to try an unbiased rederer like maxwell, i'm put off by the speed.
