Hello guys, i updated the first post with new picture - suggestions and criticism welcomed as always.
Now i will try upgrade the planks texture and their model and then add pillows. The last stage will be lighting and render setup.
I am using Mitchell-Netravali and exponental color mapping because the burnout of the light.E

For the modeling, take a look at your smoothing groups inside of edit poly. The edges of your bed are faceted. try using auto smooth and that should clear it up. Same for the frame. I would also add pillows and a blanket. Max has a cloth modifier that will work real nice

It would help to know what your render settings are in able to make some suggestions.
I like to use the Adaptive DMC Sampler with Catmull-Rom as the Anti-Aliasing filter and Rienhard for the color mapping.
Off hand though I would say reduce the amount of ambient occlusion, it's too obvious in the corners.
I like the wood textures and shelving unit, the seat cushion could use some bump or a different fabric though.
The cushion could also use a turbo smooth as you can see the chamfers on the edges.
It looks like you applied a wood texture to the side of the box on the top shelf.
The shelf braces on the left side underneath are green?
It's a good start.
