Hmm... Thanks for that tip. I normally use the Sketchup sun. Never tried the HDRi method. I'll check youtube to see what I can grasp from there. I've heard many good of that method though.
Yes, same for me. I started with Lumion two years ago and though I was amazed by the quick results, it just lacked the photographic realism I wanted. Then 6 months ago I discovered Vray for Sketchup and spent the last 6 months learning it. From my personal experience, avoid using the Sketchup Sun System, it gives a flat finish and the shadows are not subtle enough. HDRi gives much better results and makes your models ping.
Thanks for those words of advice Barry! Just taking it a bit more serious. At first I use to use Lumion (my workplace had a copy) but realized it wasn't powerful enough for what I wanted it for. Just started using V-Ray with my sketchup and i'm loving the flexibility it offers. I'll upload a few of my latest project in dew course. Thanks again Barry! Appreciated.
All the basics are there. What I suggest is having a strong focal point. Your eye goes down the perspective of the building to the shaded building at the bottom. It's an anti-climax. This is where you need your focal point. A sunrise. For example. This will give the scene more meaning. The picture needs to tell a story. And move the palm tree to the left of the building so it frames the building and put some more palms and branches around you so your sort of looking through a wooded area toward the building. Use trees to frame the view.
