Both of my two grandfathers were train engineers in Sivas, the place I was born. Unfortunately, I have never seen, because we’d lost them before I born.

But I heard too much memory about them. In Sivas, winters are severe, cold and long. So, snow means too much thing for people who lives in Sivas.

Then I decided to decipt a winter scene with a steam passenger train has just departed from old station building, in memory of my grandfathers. I only placed two people , My father “Ahmet Turan Alkan” and my mother “Suheyla Alkan’’ say farewell to black giant machine to strengthen emotions in the story.
