Yup. If we win and it gets built they will be cut in smooth curves. We have arranged for a local furniture company to cut all 200 sheets of plywood on a weekend with their digitally controlled saw. The faceting in the model is simply due to design process limitations. From concept to design to model to final renders and presentation boards was about 3 days.

nice one Steve, one thing that looks a bit wrong to me is the curvature of the plywood cutouts which are stepped instead of smooth...

I recently completed an entry for the Winnipeg Warming Huts Competition. Winnipeg has one of the world's longest skating trails at over 10 km. A competition is held every year for 4 new warming huts and one by an architect of international stature. Past guest architects include Antoine Predock and John Patkau. This year Frank Gehry will be completing one and I think judging.
