To answer your question though I did really enjoy modelling it and was up for the challenge! Marvelous Designer makes it easier than it appears...once you get the hand of the controls and interface.

Thanks Edgar. In fact I can't take too much credit for it as I followed the 'how-to' on this post: http://www.ronenbekerman.com/3d-cloth-modeling-with-marvelous-designer/. Marvelous designer is a great tool though and allows for a lot of flexibility and variation with just one model.

I really like your area rug. Was challenging to model??
