Title of Role:
Senior Arch Viz Unreal Artist

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Creative Director, as the Senior Arch Viz Unreal Artist, you will work closely with the Realtime Technical Art Director, art team and programmers to use the latest gaming technology to create interactive real-time visualisations of unbuilt architecture, master plans and city-scape digital twins within the Real Estate, Hospitality, eCommerce and Digital Twin Sectors.

Primary Goals of the Role:
1. PRODUCTION
  • Creating and leading 3D Realtime scenes & environments.
  • Developing 3D model assets & props for architecture, infrastructure & experiential projects,
  • Lighting, texturing & optimising 3D Realtime scenes & environments.
  • Managing Real-time projects independently.

2. MANAGEMENT & SUPPORT
  • Managing & presenting in-progress & final work to clients.
  • Managing, supporting, teaching intermediates, juniors & interns.

3. FUTURE WORK
  • Work with the Sales team to scope & quote future projects.
  • Create demonstrations, mock-ups and presentations for new project pitches to clients.

Organisational Structure (Reporting to, management responsibilities, key stakeholder relationships, etc):
Real-time Technical Art Director, Head of Production, and Project team members. External relationships include Project Stakeholders & Contractors.

KEY OBJECTIVES - to achieve MAJOR GOALS
0-3 Months:
In this phase, we would like the ideal candidate to get the lay of the land and the project processes, which can connect the dots, contribute and provide feedback to the team, which generally only needs the complete wheel explained.
3-6 Months:
The candidate will have led his project at least once and reviewed it. They will have demonstrated their ability to work within a set timeline and budget, prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively with the Realtime Technical Art Director.
6-12 Months:
Leadership and autonomy and working/adapting to changing project requirements - the ideal candidate must adapt to the evolving needs and priorities.
12 Months & Beyond:
There is a wide variety of options within the organisation, and most specifically, there is the opportunity to be earmarked for a leadership role to build your team beneath you in response to project demands - our client is doing a lot of different things with a wide variety of clients that are just ever increasing.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES
5 Critical Skills and Level of Experience
Certification or Qualifications
  • Degree in the area of VFX, Technical Director or similar, and work experience
Preferred Work Experience
  • At least 5-7 years of extensive hands-on experience creating high-quality 3D models, textures, lighting, and materials,
  • Proven experience in delivering successful real-time 3D content & environments.
  • An expert-level understanding of general real-time 3D rendering pipelines and workflows.
Learning Agility
  • Ability to take on and utilise new tools as & when required.
  • Actively keep up to date and seek out relevant technology and creative techniques.
Technology & Systems
  • An excellent portfolio of work demonstrating an understanding of Autodesk 3dsMax.
  • An excellent understanding of Unreal Engine.

  • Manage projects independently.
  • Strong ability to provide mentorship.
  • Strong ability to problem solve and have the foresight to see issues before they arise,
  • Strong ability to confidently work through complex projects unsupervised,

  • Proficient ability to teach concepts, processes & tools to artists from Intermediate to Interns,

Qualifications
