We had the inmense pleasure to collaborate with our nice friends of Schmidt Hammer Lassen China in one of the Matte Painters Dream project: Kunming National Botanical Garden.
This was their entry for the competition. With similar intention to a traditional garden, the masterplan aims to create a scaled down version of the wider Yunnan landscape and create a complete learning experience – an intergrated journey within nature.
The proposal takes the visitor on a journey through a scaled version of the wider Yunnan landscape – forest, savanna, wetlands, tea fields, flowers and herbs.
