Coastal Forest Home

Where forest meets the ocean, the warm glow of the sun casts about the underbrush, ocean spray mixes with the strong smell of the earth as you gaze out towards the horizon.  

The special quality of the building is what inspired me to model it. It sits elevated above the land without disturbing it, leaving nature to itself. At the same time it opens the inhabitants to a broad perspective provided by banks of large windows on all sides of the home.

Architecture inspired by Wiedemann Architects. Set within an environment influenced by the Canadian West Coast. I chose an environment that expresses a lifestyle surrounded by nature.  Hiking, mountain biking, and ocean kayaking mere feet from your front door.

The story depicted here is based on the cross country travels of a personal friend.
