PICASSO HOUSE

Picasso House is an architectural marvel with just 4 meters of frontage on its facade, narrowing down to a mere 3 meters wide further along. Despite this challenge, a two-bedroom house was created with a bathroom for each bedroom, a full kitchen, a half bathroom, a laundry room, an extensive pool, and a beautiful terrace.

Upon entry, a friendly TV lounge welcomes you, enticing relaxation. In this house, the depth isn’t immediately visible; rather, the irregular terrain gradually reveals each space as you progress.

Next, you encounter the staircase area, initially intended for reading, now a beautifully lit transition space thanks to the frosted window on the facade. This window provides privacy and reduces the strong Mérida sun.

Ascending the stunning dzalam wood staircase, you discover a bedroom with an unusual layout; the bathroom is first due to the prioritization of creating a balcony to enjoy the terrace’s beautiful view, with its pool and a background facade reminiscent of Dzibichaltún’s Mayan ruins.

Descending, before entering the kitchen, you find a hallway with a laundry room and a half bathroom that maximizes the space, as the house is now only 3 meters wide.

The kitchen is well-equipped, featuring beautiful monochromatic cabinets and high-quality materials like quartz, providing a cleaner and more practical environment.

Exiting the kitchen leads to the terrace, featuring a beautiful pool and abundant tropical vegetation. The illusion of width is created by a wooden path alongside the pool, a space effectively utilized.

At the back of the house, an expansive bedroom with double height accommodates a skylight for better illumination. The bathroom at the rear integrates a natural space, connecting with nature.
