ZENSHIN - Architectural Design Project

Zenshin is an architectural project of a villa design, being hidden in the forests of Bosnia and Herzegowina. The building uses modern architectural details and unique ways of implementing different materials into its core aesthetic. Concrete and black metal panels were used for the facade, where the combination of these two colours greatly showcase the idea of contrast between black and white.
All of the images were created in Blender and the cycles engine. After rendering the images some slight post processing was done in Photoshop, mainly just working with passes and doing colour correction to enhance the overall feeling of the renderings.
Another key focus of this project was to present modern building materials in its unnatural environment. Instead of using wood or stone, I decided to go with black metal and concrete to represent the idea of standing out. Architecture should dare and therefore by creating structures that contrast the landscape you are able to create monuments that stand out. One has to keep in mind to not damage the landscape and the nature around the structure, of course.
