Thanks for your compliments ;) For the carpet, I used a simple Hair and Fur modifier in 3ds Max 2012. I modeled a base for the Fur and assigned the modifier. In the modify panel, I selected the polygons which where intended to grow Fur. I increased the Hair Count parameter, styled the Fur a little bit, and adjusted the material in the Material Parameters rollout. For the furry mood I used the Frizz and Kink rollouts and that it. ;) But the point is that the Max's Hair and Fur modifier wasn't lit and rendered properly until the latest version of VRay (version 2.20.03 in my case) I wish I've answered your question :)
Yes you answered my question perfectly.. so its the fault of vray that it wont render hair and fur in 2012. i see "I used the Frizz and Kink rollouts and that it" that was exactly the points that i needed.. thank you i can finish my render now Goodluck with your future designs cheers
Actually VRay CAN render Hair and Fur in 3ds Max 2012, but only in the default frame buffer, not in VRay Frame Buffer. However even in the default Frame Buffer the lights are NOT properly calculated; the lighting of the Hair and Fur will be based on the default lights of Max.
quite nice and interesting mood great job
Happy to hear that Thanks so much my friend ;)
