Stunning!!.... Congratulations..
Really fantastic work, and I'd like to echo others sentiments about the crowd, it really looks superb. The blend from football match to concert is really excellent too and absolutely captures the atmosphere of a concert. Very very well done!
Thanks for feedback :) We are really proud of the crowd-sim, because we have never managed to pull off instances in a proper way in Lightwave before. This time it worked pretty flawless even if it took quite some time to figure everything out. I'll see if we get a chance to do a tutorial some time in the future. Basically the people and everything is a bit more static than they appear, so for a daytime shot everything would have needed some extra work :) The 360 pan was one thing that we could not get out of our clients mind, and unfortunately we had to keep it as a part of the animation. I totally agree that it is too static for the film....but we had other and more important fights to take care of :)
Saweeet! Great to see some animation work from MIR, thanks for sharing. Any chance at a sneak peak at how you guys pulled off the crowd sims?
+1. That was easily the best crowd simulation that I have seen in an arch project.
Amazing! Simply awesome stadium design and presentation. MIR helped get me pumped and excited for footy to start up again in a week, (awaiting for Liverpools new stadium design to hopefully be a nice...) The sequence from strolling in the air from kick off transistioning to the concert was fabulous (and there was chanting NO vuvuzelas!).
Saweeet! Great to see some animation work from MIR, thanks for sharing. Any chance at a sneak peak at how you guys pulled off the crowd sims? If your open to crits, I think the one shot that falls short of the others is the 360 pan @ 27 sec, albiet it still very good. but it's the one shot that kind of took me out of the experience a bit. I felt like everything else is dynamic and then we have this qtvr static pan kinda deal from the 90's.... I think i got a good sense of the surroundings from the opening water shot, and might just cut the pan out if it was to be developed further. A little redundant in my humble opinion. Great Transition to the concert at the end, Totally got my heart rate going. Cheers, M- Thanks for sharing, love seeing new MIR output :)
Really nice!
