Hi James, Thanks. Yes. the camera is a little higher than normal. I wanted to be able to look over the counter and into the living space to see the fire place better. Thanks for the crit. Aaron
Nic, Yes, it an image of a towel which I am very proud of. Because it shows my modeling skills in Blender are improving. Feel free to visit my web site to see more than towel renders. Aaron www.aaronsmthey.com

Its good to hear that things have been bearable. That latest image is great, if I had to make one crit I would say that the camera is either too high or the scale is off on e the furniture... maybe try it somewhere around 60"... just drop it a little so you can see some more of that roof.
Hi James, Scottsdale-Phoenix took a big hit. Although my rendering biz has been slow but slowly steady. In other words, it has not not dried up yet. My wife is an architect also and has managed to stay busy. But it has not been easy. I have spent a lot of time marketing and banging on doors. There are signs of architecture picking back up though, at least with some of the mid size firms here. This was an overnight render and really a just personal study render to test the cloth material and to promote my excitement for Blender. I just plopped it into one of my existing old models. So yes, the focus is totaly the towel model to show my prgress with Blender. Here is an over all rendering, all modeled in Form-Z and render with Maxwell Render, before the towel of course. oh, and how is Scottsdale doing now? I heard through the pipeline that the building industry took a really hard hit with the recession... are things picking up again?
the towel texture looks nicely done... there is still a lot of noise in the image, but that's Maxwell right? maybe let it sit over the weekend... and I guess I don't really understand why the focus of the image is a towel... other than to show off a really cool towel model. If this was going in a portfolio that you were showing to architects I might say that you would would probably want to lift your camera target, get rid of the extreme dof and focus on the cabinetry mid-scene...
