About Tayo Wilson

As a graduate from Northumbria University with a degree in architecture, I've always been passionate about transforming ideas into tangible structures that enrich the built environment. My journey into the professional realm commenced with an enriching internship at Gensler, a trailblazer renowned for its innovative approaches, ranking No. 6 on the list of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2024. During my tenure as an architectural assistant at Gensler's London office, I contributed to dynamic projects under the mentorship of seasoned architects. My responsibilities spanned a spectrum of architectural activities, from hand-drawn sketches to intricate 3D modelling using cutting-edge software like Vectorworks and Revit. Crafting compelling design narratives, producing reports, and engaging in design discourse were integral aspects of my role. My tenure at Gensler not only honed my technical skills but also instilled in me a profound appreciation for the fusion of artistry and functionality in architectural design. It was during this time that I developed a keen interest in architectural visualisation, recognising its pivotal role in conveying design intent and fostering immersive experiences. With the rapid evolution of animation and graphics in the digital landscape, I find myself drawn towards exploring innovative avenues in architectural visualization. The prospect of leveraging emerging technologies to push the boundaries of design representation excites me, as I believe it offers boundless opportunities to redefine spatial narratives and evoke emotive responses. As I take on this new chapter of my architectural journey, fueled by my experiences at Gensler and my evolving interests in visualisation, I am poised to contribute to the dynamic intersection of architecture and digital innovation, shaping transformative experiences in the built environment.
